Illustrated Posters
Illustration + Typography
I went to school to study Graphic Design, but the first art form I fell in love with was Illustration. Creating fully illustrated posters allows me to enjoyably combine both of these skills.
Streetside Jupiter Poster
This was concept poster I created after I did a quick sketch of an astronaut. I thought the sketch was really interesting so I decided to refine it and turn it into a full-fledged poster! MTV was an obvious source of inspiration for this one.
Programs Used
While the astronaut and meteor were illustrated on my iPad with Procreate, everything else was made using Adobe Illustrator. I really wanted to use this poster as an opportunity to have very bold text that interacted with the rest of the graphic elements.
Save Our Stages Poster
Back during the Covid-19 Lockdowns, A movement to support local venues popped up named Save Our Stages so I decided to create a poster highlighting it. Save Our Stages was created in an effort to get financial aid to local venues that were not allowed to operate during the pandemic.
Programs Used
This poster was 100% illustrated in Procreate. I used this poster as an opportunity to focus on architecture and perspective while adding in as much detail as possible. The thing I enjoy most when creating illustrated posters, is being able to add in very small details that you wouldn't see on the first look.
Doctor's Orders
This was the 2nd of 3 posters in my senior Capstone project. The project was centered around overdose awareness and the opioid epidemic in the United States.
Programs Used
This poster was created using Adobe Photoshop and my Wacom Tablet. If there's two things I love, it's black and white artwork, and octopi, so I had a lot of fun with this one!
Apocrypha Poster
The idea for this poster came to me before I even had my first freelance client, but I loved the vision in my head so much that I decided to work on it for practice.
Programs Used
The first digital drawing program I used was Clip Studio Paint. Using this program and my Wacom tablet, I created this poster based off of a pencil sketch I made in about 30 min. If I were to do this again today, I would probably just use my iPad, but it was a great learning experience!
